Protecting the integrity of high school activities through funding in risk minimization and leadership.
The vision of the NFHS Foundation is to transform educational activities by responsibly managing and utilizing funds dedicated to enhancing learning opportunities while adhering to all established guidelines. We aim to support and elevate the educational initiatives of the National Federation of State High School Associations and its state affiliates, fostering excellence in interscholastic athletics and performing arts programs.

We are committed to developing and implementing a comprehensive citizenship skills curriculum integrated into high school sports and performing arts. By promoting this curriculum through student leadership conferences and innovative training sessions for coaches and officials, we seek to instill values of leadership, teamwork, and civic responsibility.
Our vision includes disseminating valuable insights on the educational benefits of high school activities to administrators, coaches, teachers, and students through engaging conferences, publications, and other means. We aim to highlight the positive impact of extracurricular participation on student development, promoting a holistic approach to education that values both academic and extracurricular achievements.

We are dedicated to minimizing injury risks in high school activities by sponsoring cutting-edge research and developing comprehensive educational programs. Our efforts focus on identifying risk factors, implementing preventative measures, and equipping all participants with the knowledge and tools to ensure safety.
Finally, we empower 501(c)(3) organizations and individuals with grants to create impactful educational materials and projects that enhance high school students’ experiences in the performing arts and athletics. By fostering creativity and excellence, we strive to drive meaningful improvements in the educational landscape, preparing students for future success.
